Stock Refinishing and Recheckering

    This Pope barreled Ballard .32-40 was in need of a facelift.  The buttstock's finish was "crazed" with a heavy orange peel texture and the non-original forearm had never been checkered.

    The buttstock and forearm were both refinished to a rich semi-gloss.  The buttstock checkering was recut and the forearm was checkered to match.  The time logged to complete this project was 13 hours.
